Although Thome Wake’s playable demo’s duration is quite short, it should leave a lasting impression on every player. Its seemingly innocuous premise is immediately turned sinister by the presence of A Pisadeira, a monster from Brazilian folklore whose existence has been largely ignored by the main character.
Trapped in a nightmare of A Pisadeira’s doing, the character must navigate the monster’s deepest, most terrifying thoughts, all while staying sane and alive. Albeit short, the gameplay is filled with jump scares and loud sounds, creating an unforgettable and bone-chilling experience.
